CROATIA-HRVATSKA-CROATIE
The general shape of Croatia is somewhere strange. One has the Istra triangle in the western area with the undergrounds of the Velebit massive. This massive is followed to the south, along the dalmatian coast, in an extremely narrow area, but goes further under the name of Dinaric Alps to the Bosnia. Ths third part of the croatian country goes in the northern side to the east and is in the main part a flat area, without the existence of two massives, the Medvednica in the north of zagreb and the Papuk in Slavonia.
The Istra is only busy with the valuable Ujka Vojak, but one can add the medieval city of Motovun at the place of the ski resort Platak or of the pass Vratnik, on a national road with 16% but only 600m high. The Velebit is well busy with this Vratnik, the half-gravelled and very rideable Zavizan (surfaced until Oltari, then gravelled and the end is surfaced again and with the Stara Vrata. The Mali Alan is not on the coast, an old well-known gravelled pass but which reputation has disappeared with the time and whose surface is in bad condition. One can put in its place, the Nevoljas Pass, main pass through the Papuk Massive in the Slavonian area. At last, much in the south, but very high, the Sveti Jure, splendid high climb, following the Dom Vosac and entirely asphalted.
