Seule nation issue
de l’ancienne Yougoslavie appartenant à l’Europe des 25, la Slovénie est un
petit pays enclavé entre l’Autriche au nord, l’Italie et l’Adriatique à
l’ouest, la Hongrie
à l’est et la Croatie
au sud. Tous les BIGs sont disséminés tout le long du nord du pays juste au sud
de la frontière autrichienne, soit dans les alpes Juliennes, soit dans les
alpes Savines. Tout le pays a un grand avantage pour le cyclo : une plaque
routière est présente avec le kilométrage indiqué tous les 500 mètres.
Lonely old yugoslavian republic included in the EEE of 25, Slovenia is a small country between Austria on the north, Italy and Adriatic Sea on the west, Hungary on the east and Croatiz on the south. All the BIGs are dispatched along the northern border, just under the austrian border, in the Julian Alps, or Savinian Alps. The whole country has a great advantage for the cycletourists ; a road-sign with the kilometers each 500m on each road.
Bien sûr, tout semble être dans la partie nord, mais auparavant dans la liste nous avons eu des ascensions comme Obrov, Pregarje ou Mirna Gora et chacune fut décevante soit pour la qualité de l'ascension, soit pour celle de la route. On a deux stations de ski proches avec Rogla et Mariborsko Pohorje, la plus haute route revêtue de Slovénie avec le Mangrtsko Sedlo, les médiatiques Vrsic et Crnivec (courses cyclistes fréquentes) et le très pentu Pavlicevo Sedlo. Seuls peut-être les contreforts du Triglav ont été malencontreusement ignorés.

Once has two very near one another ski resorts with Rogla and Mariborsko Pohorje, the highest surfaced road of the country with angrtsko Sedlo, the mediatic ones (often cycling races) and the very steep Pavlicevo Sedlo. Only perhaps, the undergrounds of the Triglav have been forgotten.
