La route démarre sous cette carte et rejoint Melochi, puis zigzague jusqu'à 1000m avant d'aller chercher l'aghios Triada Parnithas, à droite vers Mavrovouni, mais laisser le mont Parnès à droite et aller à gauche jusqu'au refuge de Bafi, prendre enfin à droite le grand cercle d'rnio jusqu'au lieu-dit Karavola, sous le mont du même nom.

The road is starting just down this map, reaches Melochi, turns into hairpins until reaching 1.000m over the sea, straight line to Aghios Triadaz Parnithas, turn to the right to Mavrovouni, let the Parnis Mount on your right and turn to the left until the refuge of Bafi, turn there to the right and ride the circle of Ornio until the Karavola Mount with the road a little down the top.

On remarque la route jaune asphaltée qui grimpe vers le nord, laisse le mont Parnès à sa droite, atteint le monument à saint Karnitha et emprunte une large boucle à droite pour rejoindre le Karavola sans pointer au sommet de 1413m.

DESCRIPTION

Le mont Parnès est le mont qui domine au nord la capitale grecque. Si Parnitha est le lieu de villégiature athénien et la station de sport d'hiver la plus proche, c'est aussi un mont où tourniquote une splendide route parfaitement revêtue. C'est un clos montagneux qui délimite le nord d'Athènes et sa pointe est le Karavola ) 1413m. La route, elle , s'arrête à 1340m. Sur la route Magoula - Dervenochoria, (520m), une partie du mur de château de Korynos a été sauvée tandis qu'à 650m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, c'est la forteresse de Fyli qui l'a été. La masse montagneuse du Parnès contient des grottes et des précipices, dont la cavité de Dan of Pan (petit temple dévoué aux nymphes), à 675m d'altitude. Le Parnès est aussi rempli d'épineux de tous bois et sa flore est si riche qu'il a été décrété parc national avec 130 espèces d'oiseaux. .

Parnis Mount is the mount that has an overview on the greek capital city. If Parnitha is a spotlight for the athenian tourism and a ski resort, it's also a mount where is turning a splendid surfaced road. It is an extensive mountain cluster at the North-Western side of Attica and its top is located at the position Karavola (1413 m.). The road itself stops at 1340m. It constituted the natural boundary of the ancient city of Athens to the north and is the mountain with the most ancient fortifications than any other in Greece. On the road Magoula – Dervenochoria (520 meters) a part of the wall from the Castle of Korynos is saved, while 650 meters above sea level at the South-western side ruins of the Fortress of Fyli are saved. The mountainous mass of Parnes (Parnitha) includes many caves and precipices, out of which the most noted is the Cave or Den of Pan (small temple devoted to Nymphs), 675 m. above sea level. Parnes (Parnitha) is planted all over with fir-trees and pine-trees and its rich flora includes more than 1000 vegetable species, while its fauna includes deer, jackals, foxes, hares, ferrets and more than 130 species of birds. The greatest part of Parnes (Parnitha) has been declared National Park.
