Le versant oriental du Popski Preslop offre un parcours naturel, ondoyant et régulier à partir de Gotse Delchev. Certes, à la sortie de Gotse Delchev ainsi qu'à trois-quatre kilomètres du sommet, parfois de petites rampes présentent des pourcentages plus élevés, mais l'ensemble se monte plutôt au train. D'abord, l'horizon est large avec des vues sur les campagnes et les jolies collines du Pirin. On pénètre ensuite dans le premier massif orienté nord-sud de cette chaîne et la montagne verdoyante nous entoure. A 1km du sommet, il ne faut pas prendre à gauche même si la route semble continuer dans cette direction. C'est un cul-de-sac. En prenant en face, on arrive rapidement au sommet, matérialisé seulement par un carrefour sans signal ni pancarte. La voie de gauche peut vous mener à un endroit de restauration. Le nom du col sur la carte topographique Cartographia Ltd. De Sofia est Popovu Luvadu. En face, la très longue descente aux impressionnants paysages sur Pirin village puis Katunci afin de rejoindre lentement mais sûrement la grande et importante nationale 1 qui remonte de la Grèce (Thessalonique) jusqu'à Sofia.

The eastern side of the Popski Preslop has a natural way, rolling around the Pirin mountain from Gotse Delchev.
