Holidays - Vacances 2007

Kevin Speed - Ireland, Pyrenees (France + España) - 28.06 - 15.07

"Dan Good morning! Thank you for entering the detail of my Irish 'end to end' - Mizen Head to Malin Head in Passacol website. Please could you add the following. "achieved in 5 days and mainly over the highest roads in Ireland - Turners rock in Kerry, Molls Gap, Pass of Dunloe, Knockwaddra near Tralee, Slieve Bloom, and all in county Donegal: Glengesh Pass, Grianan of Aileach, Gap of Mamore and Sperrin Mountain in Northern Ireland. So far £1088 raised for Cancer Research UK. My justgiving.com site remains open if you would like to donate to the reason I did it - in memory of my parents for Cancer Research UK". My plans starting next Thursday 28th June until Sunday 15th July. Flying with bike Stansted to Pau, Pyrenees then to Gavarnie and completing French Pyrenees passes to Atlantic coast then taking Euskotren and FEVE narrow gauge trains with bike from Irun to Oviedo. Starting with BIG388 and cycling back to Pyrenees tackling mighty l'Angliru and BIG's 388 to 421 eventually back to Pau over Somport pass. This should be a real test of my mid 50 years old stamina! Could this go in the news letter and website under plans for the year? "

Györgyi Domonkos - Belgium & Netherlands - 09.07 - 15.07

" Hello Daniel, I need a little help from my friends. My two sons are living in Netherlands now, so I am going to go to see them this summer. If I will there I would like to climb some BIG's in the Netherlands and in Belgium. I tried to find the BIG's in Belgium and I planned my tours something like. I would like to go on 9th of July to Gent, because there will be the finish of a stage of the Tour de France. I think I could take a tour near Gent and climb the BIG's, which there are not so far from Gent. Another day I would like take a tour between Eupen and La Roche in the Ardenne. I ask you route plans, how could I take tours to the BIG's. I think, one tour maybe max. 120-140 km long and can keep to 7-8 hours. I would like to stay a few days in Belgium and see some famous towns too. Where can I have accommodations, which not too expensive? Are there in Belgium guest houses or rooms in the houses in the villages? I am looking forward to your reply,  György (George) Domonkos, the member No. 426 of the BIG."

Daniel Gobert - Provence & Côte d'Azur - 28.07 - 08.08

" I will spend my time in family's holidays in La colle-sur-Loup (St Paul de Vence - Nice) from 28th of july to 4th of august, and Portiragne (Béziers) from 4th to 7th of august. I hope to climb some mysterious climbs like Madonne d'Utelle and Mont Vial,..."

Claudiu Moga - Alps : 300 cols - 01.07 - 29.07
