1. General Description générale

Ainsi donc, voici un col breton qui résonne comme une ode. Et la langue locale surfe sur les notes "ode de Toull a y Aron".

Well, it's areal pass in Bretagne, with a french name and a name in the local language, singing "ode de Toull a Y Aron" (ode in french = music like a poem)

Voiture garée à 17h le dimanche au sommet , enfin tout près, sur une zone gravillonneuse, face à la petite route près du sommet qui file en 200m vers un Bed and Breakfast (B&B). Descente du versant sud-est vers Goudin, jusqu'à la bretelle d'embranchement de l'autoroute, juste avant le tunnel qui signale l'entrée de Goudin. Demi-tour. La pente est douce et la campagne buccolique, une ligne droite un peu longuette nous rappelle les travaux du jour mais vite fait, bien fait, on retrouve la voiture, des chasseurs près de la pancarte officielle du sommet "col de Toullaëron - 266m". "Faut être courageux à ce temps-ci", dit l'un. "Mais non, faut être un peu fou", dit l'autre.

Car parked at 17 o'clock the sunday near the top, on a gravel area, just in front of the narrow street leading to a Bed and Breakfast (B&B). Downhill of the east-southern side to Goudin and switchback at the exit of the motorway, just before the tunnel at the entrance of the city. The slope is easy and the landscape calmful, a longer straight line reminds us that we are in a climb but rapidly, we reach the top and its road-sign (col de Toullaëron - 266m". Two hunters watched at me. "Courageous", said the first one. "A little crazy too", adds the other one.

Riches d’un formidable patrimoine naturel, les Montagnes Noires abritent également le fameux Roc’h Toullaeron (le rocher des voleurs), où jadis Marion du Faouët avait son repère…

On perçoit toute la régularité de la pente qui suit son cours lentement mais sûrement. On prend quand même près de 150m sans s'en apercevoir.

On perçoit toute la variabilité de la côte dont le passage le plus pentu est au début et où le reste se fait en ondulation face au vent..

On voit bien au bout de la ligne jaune le col, peu avant en blanc la petite route vers le B&B (H) et le Roc au centre du massif vert

Man can see the pass at the end of the yellow line, just before the narrow white road on the right leading to the B&B (H) and the Roc at the center of the green massive.

On voit bien en rouge à droite le versant sud dont on parle plus haut et dans la même couleur à gauche le versant nord.

Les virages enneigés et feuillus du col de Toullaëron

Puis, une longue ligne droite régulière.

Then, a long and regular straight line.

Et la pancarte de col du sommet qui fait bien plaisir par ces températures hivernales.
